Birthday Gifts for Twins
My twin daughters were getting ready to celebrate there twenty-first birthday and my husband and I were stumped on gift ideas. With money being tight living on a fixed income, we were looking for birthday gifts that were inexpensive. He and I wanted to get both of them a nice piece of jewelry, but did not want to break the bank.
My husband found a site online and told me to look at it. After all, my husband really does not know much about jewelry or what style our twin girls would like. When I first looked, I could not believe the selection of jewelry. The choice in cameo rings alone was truly extensive. I still was not sure -- all the jewelry looked so well made I figured it would not be in our price range. To my surprise the all of the jewelry was very affordable. When my husband learned this, he told me at those prices we could afford to get them several pieces of jewelry. This was great news and I knew our twins would love their gifts.
I decided to get both of my daughters vintage lockets. The beautiful designs were classic pieces that I knew my daughters would love. By getting them a few pieces of classic styled jewelry, I knew they could wear them all year long and would always be in fashion.
One of my twins dresses a little more conservatively, while the other is always in jeans and cowboy boots. They are as different as night and day. So, I got them each some of the nature leaf jewelry and cameo rings. These vintage styles would go great if you were wearing jeans or a dress.
When my twin girls opened up their birthday presents, they were so thrilled. They both loved their jewelry and were so surprised. They immediately put on their necklaces and rings and had to show everyone at the party. That was when my husband and I knew that we had found the perfect site to order wholesale gifts.
Since we saved so much money from purchasing jewelry, we are now regular customers when looking for a special gift for someone in our family. My husband and I really love the products and are never disappointed in the customer service or the quality of the jewelry.

Accessorizing with Jewelry
I have never been big into jewelry because I was not sure how to accessorize with certain outfits. I was also not into the trendy jewelry because the styles change from season to season and this can become a big expense for many women. The thought of buying a necklace or a ring that I was going to wear for a few months did not appeal to me. The thought of spending a lot of money on jewelry is not an option when many of us are on a strict budget in these hard economic times.
In order to add pieces of jewelry to my wardrobe that would not cost me an arm and a leg, I decided to purchase antique-style jewelry. This can be anything from a watch to a ring. By using classic pieces to accessories outfits, I have found that not only does it look great; it never goes out of style. Old-fashioned jewelry will not only pull an outfit together, it will also help to enhance certain colors of clothing or even accentuate certain parts of the body. For instance, to show off a new manicure a cameo ring will show off my hands without being too overstated. I have used this trick many times. Not only do many of my girlfriends comment on the manicure, many of them love my cameo ring and always think that is a family heirloom. I just smile and thank them for the compliment. This gives me great joy knowing that I did not spend a lot of money on the cameo rings but by the money I saved can afford a monthly manicure again.
I wear pendant watches with my print dresses. Wearing this type of pendant can serve two functions: one is (obviously) it tells time without having to dig through my purse looking for my cell phone, and it compliments the dress no matter how busy the print is. This is a classic look that I get many pleasing comments on from women and men of all ages.
During the winter months, I wear a lot of sweaters to the office. In order to jazz up a plain solid sweater, I usually wear one of my many antique-styled vintage lockets. These lockets take a casual sweater and instantly make it more dressy and suitable for the office when paired with a skirt or dress slacks. Wearing antique jewelry can help dress up any style of clothing.

The Fine Art of Layering Jewelry
Admit it, you've walked past a well-dressed woman on the street and wondered if your own accessories could ever be so perfect. Perhaps she had one of those marvelous pendant watches, set off by other equally attractive jewelry pieces, but weren't quite sure how she did it. One of the things we hear all the time from clients is that they love the "layered look" fashionable women use to make their accessories really pop, but they just aren't sure how to pull it off. Here are three quick rules for perfecting the fine art of layering jewelry.
Before we start, let's better define what "layering jewelry" means. Instead of relying on a single pendant to dress up an outfit, you can create layers of texture and color by adding additional pieces. It may sound chaotic, but a woman who's mastered the fine art of layering jewelry will capture your attention with her flair and creativity.
Now, let's get started on Rule Number One. Start with a central statement: To really make the layered look work in jewelry, it's important to have a single, bold piece that immediately captures the eye. Some women like to start with vintage lockets or some nature leaf jewelry such as a gold-plated oak or aspen leaf.
This works, because the vintage and natural looks in jewelry are timeless, so you can't go wrong by using them as your central statement. Other classic styles that capture second looks are cameo lockets and pendant watches. Virtually any attractive pendant can be subtly layered with other pieces to create an attractive look.
Add complementary pieces: Once you're sure you've captured attention with a bold central statement, it's time to deepen the look. Start adding complementary textures and colors to hold the eye a little longer. Here's an example: If you love nature leaf jewelry pieces, they're one of the easiest styles to layer. Start with a larger central leaf pendant, choose smaller leaf pendants with different chain lengths and create a fabulous organic look that's subtle yet sassy. Voila! You've got a multi-layered, interesting look that saves you from the "one pendant on a sweater" style that's so very dated.
Keeping your layered look affordable: It would be marvelous if all of us could walk into a fine jeweler's and point to the pieces of jewelry we need. Most of us, however, are on a little stricter budget, so we have to get creative to achieve an affordable layered look.
Here's one thought: let other people finance your new fashion adventure! It's easy to drop hints for birthday gifts, Christmas gifts or special Valentines gifts that include the words "lockets" and "pendants." Smart girls will also leave hints lying about, perhaps a vintage jewelry website left pulled up on your computer? Everyone struggles to find the perfect gifts. Why not give your generous friends and loved ones a little help finding yours?
If all else fails, buy your pendant watches, cameo lockets or nature leaf jewelry from an online jewelry store that offers you big discounts. Buying jewelry at retail is never an option for today's savvy woman.
We promise you're going to become addicted to the layered jewelry look! Who knows; you just might be that woman we all admire sometime in the very near future.
